This project covers the design of Kiwi.com’s first Live Activities and Dynamic Island experience. The goal was to surface the most important moments of the travel journey in real time. I designed the core flows and states for key actions, from pre-departure to in-trip updates, focusing on clarity, timing, and usefulness in real travel conditions.
Apart from other stakeholders, I naturally worked closely with iOS and Android engineers to define platform-specific solutions, balancing system constraints with the best possible experience on each OS. Later, we also extended the experience to mobile widgets and smartwatches, so travellers could access critical information at a glance, even when the app wasn’t open.
